Grüv, our band, plays a style of music
new and unique to the world of
music. Some people call it trip-hop, some
call it ambient jazz pop. The style
originated in Europe and continues to
grow. We like to call ourselves
'candle music' in that it is the kind of
music that you can groove to the
romantic ambiance. We use no profanity or
explicit lyrics in our music so
that it can be enjoyed by all. The music
itself consists of a low, melodic
bass line with a steady beat on the bass
drum. Electric piano lines tickle
the flowing, soothing, and breathy female
vocal lines. An R&B/ Rap-like
feel is heard when spoken words are voiced
with lyrics. Solos are then formed
using improvisation giving the music a
jazz feel.
Grüv is the type of band that you
can just sit back and relax or dance to if
the mood strikes you. We perform
original tunes and few covers.
